Who pays for the tuxedos? Should I purchase or rent my tuxedo? What should I look for in a tuxedo provider? The most important steps in knowing if a company is the right choice for you is if they can provide full try on garments for your Groom. That means from neck to toes, in his size and in the styles you are interested in. If you are encouraged by a company to select from either a catalog or off of a mannequin, you will likely be disappointed in the fit and over all fit and look of your garments. Back to Top What is the process for registering my wedding? We recommend that the bride and groom come into the store together for decision making process. As a couple you will work with one our experts to try on and select garments for both the groom and other party members. Once your styles have been selected you will be asked to provide the names of your party members. Back to Top Is it possible to try-on the tuxedo when picking out the style? Absolutely! We have everything in stock and available for try on. There is no need to select it out of a catalog or off of a mannequin. If we do not have the style and size in your selected store for the groom to try on at that time, we will make an appointment with you to come back and try on the items of your choice. Back to Top We are having a Beach/Destination wedding, is black our only choice? Certainly not, we have many options out side of black tuxedos. We have a Chocolate Brown tuxedo that is the perfect look for a fall wedding. We have Gray tuxedos that are an excellent choice for a daytime or less formal event. We even have suit options in Khaki and Sand for a beach or destination wedding. Back to Top How long before the wedding should tuxedo arrangements be made? Generally, the sooner the better. Our recommendation is that you setup your tuxedos 6 months prior to your wedding date. Should you have less time than that, there's no need to worry; we can still take care of you. Call to schedule your consultation, or stop by to browse our selection. Back to Top Can out-of-town party members rent a tuxedo from Cozy/Love Lane? Yes! They can print out a measurement form on our web site to take to their local tuxedo store. Ask for a full fitting, then return to the web site to enter their measurements. Their information will then be emailed to us and we will assemble their order based on those measurements. Back to Top Does everyone in the wedding party need to visit the same location? No. A couple may register their wedding in one store and the groomsmen may get measured in any of our stores. The groomsmen will need to mention which store the wedding is booked in and the grooms last name. Back to Top When do I pick up my rental garments? For proms pick up is the day before and for weddings the pick up is 2 days before. For pickup we recommend each member come to pickup and try on in the store. It is important that they each try on all their garments to ensure a proper fit. Due to variations between manufacturers or as a result of body changes since their fitting date, some garments may need to be adjusted for proper fit. In most cases this can be done while they wait; however, a return visit may be required in some cases. Back to Top When does everyone need to be fitted? We suggest everyone be measured at least 4 weeks in advance for wedding parties. We can accommodate rentals on shorter notice if needed. If there is someone in the party who could have a change in size they should be re-measured closer to the wedding, 2 weeks before, this will allow for any necessary changes. This is normally recommended for children and those trying to gain or lose weight. Back to Top Does Cozy/Love Lane carry tuxedos for kids? Yes, we have tuxedo rentals that start at 3 boys. This usually fits a 3-year-old but it depends on the child's size. We also carry a line of tuxedos for purchase that run in toddler's sizes. Back to Top Should party members try on their garments at pick up time? Absolutely! We insist on this. The final fitting process is done to ensure that our customers are satisfied with the fit of the garments. Back to Top Do tuxedos ever need last minute adjustments? Due to variations between manufacturers or as a result of body changes since their fitting date, some garments may need to be adjusted for proper fit. In most cases this can be done while you wait; however, a return visit may be required in some cases. Back to Top When are the tuxedos due back after use? Unless other arrangements have been made, your rental order is due back the day after use. Late returns may be subject to extended rental fees, so be sure to get your order back on time. Rental garments may also be returned to any of our locations (link to locations). Back to Top Do you have a large arrangement of sizes in stock? Our rental garments range from size 3 boys to a 72. Besides your standard regular, short, and long tuxedos we also carry portly and huskies. We also carry tuxedos that run in body builder's sizes that can accommodate up to a 20-inch drop from the chest to waist. Back to Top How should the jacket fit? While your coat should be comfortable, tuxedo jackets aren't made as athletic wear. In other words, you're not going to have as much maneuverability as you would in your T-shirt. The shoulder pads should not stick out prominently past your shoulders, and you don't want too much room in the chest and abdomen. If the chest and abdomen fit too close, then the armpits are going to feel overly tight. If you plan on being in a lot of photos, err slightly on the tight side rather than the loose side. While standing and with your arms at your sides is when your jacket should feel most comfortable. Back to Top How should the trousers fit? The trousers should fit comfortably and ideally should not be restrictive through the rise (crotch) or the waist. Some men prefer a slight break at their shoe, while others prefer them slightly shorter with little or no break. In all cases, the trouser should be worn at the waist and not sagged below. Doing so will result in awkwardly pulled pleats. Back to Top How should the shirt fit? Because rental shirts need to fit a large number of body sizes, it is best to concentrate on the fit of the neck and the length of the sleeve. The neck should not be overly large, but should not be too constrictive either. The shirtsleeve should end just below the wrist. Back to Top Who should wear tuxedos in the wedding? It is customary for the groom and his groomsmen to wear tuxedos. When the fathers and grandfathers are part of the ceremony, they tend to wear attire that is matches the rest of the party. Ring bearers are always crowd pleasers when wearing a child-size tuxedo. Their tuxedo can match the groom or the rest of the wedding party. Back to Top Should everyone wear the same tuxedos and accessories? Just as the bride stands apart from her bridesmaids, the groom should be different than his groomsmen. For instance, the groom may wear a traditional coat with neutral accessory colors while the groomsmen's accessories might match the bridesmaids or the theme color(s) of the wedding. Often couple's will choose to have the same jacket and pattern accessory for each member and use the color of the vest and tie to distinguish roles. Back to Top Who pays for the tuxedos? Typically, each member of the party will pay for his own rental. Back to Top Should I purchase or rent my tuxedo? Gentlemen that should consider purchasing a tuxedo will typically do so for one of two reasons. The first reason is obtain superior fit and customization for their special event. The second will typically have multiple events and the investment in a purchase will out weigh the cost of several rentals. Back to Top |
